IDM-240 PCM Device: High-Capacity PCM Equipment in a 19-Inch 6U Standard Chassis

The IDM-240 PCM device is a high-capacity PCM multiplexing unit designed with specialized large-scale integrated circuits, capable of handling up to 8 E1 signals. It is housed in a 19-inch 6U standard chassis with 13 slots (2 CMU slots, 8 USER slots, 2 PRU slots, and 1 expansion slot). The IDM-240 PCM device can support up to 240 user interfaces, with over 20 types of interface cards that can be flexibly configured according to user needs. Additionally, the multifunctional slots allow for the insertion of a PDH optical interface module, enabling the multiplexing of broadband and narrowband services over E1 or optical fiber. This makes it a versatile platform for PCM multiplexing and Ethernet access. The 240 user interface channels provided by the IDM-240 PCM device can be transmitted across 8 E1 links.

The IDM-240 PCM device can be combined with IDM-120 series, IDM-30 series, and IDM-mini series devices to form various integrated network topologies, such as chain, star, and tree networks. The device supports multiple clock modes, including master clock, external clock, line clock, and user clock. It can be configured as either a switch interface or a user interface, making it suitable for both local and remote applications. With the NetGuard network management software, the IDM-240 PCM device offers intelligent configuration management for network services, allowing flexible timeslot allocation for each site and real-time monitoring of device operation.
