10. Equipment Common troubleshooting
1. Overview
DM-300ME voice/audio optical multiplexer provide 2 shared 10/100Mpbs Ethernet interfaces, 6 transparently transmitted E1 interfaces and at most 300 FXO/FXS interfaces with “caller ID display” feature. IDM-300ME telephone MUX also provides 13 slots, which would be able to accommodate 1MCU (main control unit), 10 user’s units and 2 power units. All of these units support hot-swappable. IDM-300ME bandwidth is 155Mbps. Our device has multiple clock mode, can meet the demand of all kinds of application environment of the clock. IDM-300ME also has power and ringing current backup capabilities. Ensure the reliability of the transmission business greatly.
Ø Provide 2*100M self-adaption Ethernet interface, support automatic negotiation way, can work on full duplex/half-duplex, Ethernet port support exchange function, Save line resources effectively.
Ø IDM-300ME provide 10 user slots, each slot can access 30 channels 64K voice business, max provide 300 channels telephone.
Ø Provide 6 channels transparent transmission E1 interface. 4 channels is 120Ohm, 2 channels is 75Ohm.
Ø Clock mode can set master clock, external clock , lines clock, user clock etc multi clock mode. Can work on DTE and DCE mode, Can satisfy users in multiple places (synchronous/asynchronous) demand of bandwidth and clock
Ø Optical port rate is 155Mbps, transmission distance is more than 20KM
Ø Perfect monitoring alarm function, provide Line optical disappeared, out-of-frame, E-3, E-6 etc alarm function. Indicator light can show alarm status, of course our equipment can output the alarm information
Ø With concise and perfect network management function, the system can monitor the network equipment real-time state, provide device configuration, fault statistics management, etc. remote alarm can be transferred to center office and output. Network management interface is RS232 interface.

IDM-300ME include PCM optical transmission, E1 time slot cross connection inside the equipment. The main functions of the comprehensive reuse part is 300 various voice user interface. Can realize user interface time slot cross configuration with the network management software.

CMU indicator light:
ACT: Flash, show CPU work well.
POW: ON, show -48V, +5V work well.
LOF1~LOF8: ON, Input signal frame loss, CRC set different, master-slave clock setting error, etc usually.
E-3: ON, optical line error E-3
E-6: ON, optical line error E-6
LINK2~LINK2: NET1-NET2 interface connect indicator light
SPEED1/SPEED2: NET1-NET2 transfer rate indicator light, ON, show transfer rate is 100Mbps.

CMU user control management module dispose 300 channels voice signal, monitor 5 types alarm status: NOP, LOF, LOS, E-3 alarm, E-6 alarm etc. also have Ethernet port status indicator light, alarm block switch, host reset switch etc.
Local management functions
Ø Provide internal communication bus interface to the user card, Used to regularly update each user plate status for all users, Will be distributed network management system configuration information for each channel to different users
Ø Provide network management channels in multi IDM-300ME device. Use to network management system manage and monitoring remote office IDM-300ME.
Ø Receiving network management system information, send center office/remote office alarm and user card status to network management system as the order.
Ø CPU status indicate, reset circuit and alarm sound shielding switch.

Network management interface manage function. IDM-300ME provide network management interface connect PC platform, can provide function as follow:
Ø Receiving and returning local site user status, 64Kb/s time slot chain status, power supply status.
Ø Receiving, transmit and return remote site IDM-300ME status.
Ø Receiving network management system configuration information for the local site CMU and user card.
Ø Receiving and transmit network management system configuration information for the remote site CMU and user card.
6.2 Power ringing current card (PRU)
PRU provide +5V, -5V power for the system. Indicate and report power supply work status.
Provide power status indicator light, serial port indicator light, -5V fault indicating light, -75V ringing current fault indicating light.

Power switch is OFF status, our device is DC-48V power supply. When connect power well, power switch set ON status, the light on the panel is POW, ALM, NOP red light is ON, other light is OFF.

IDM-300ME provide 2 channels 100M Ethernet interface, interface type is RJ45, Business cable is standard Ethernet cables. Connect switch is shoot-through Ethernet cables, connect PC is cross Ethernet cables.

10. Equipment Common troubleshooting
l Check the fiber contact with the equipment are well, Optical fiber plugs on both ends and devices to reconnect mouth in order to protect the connection is good
l Optical fiber to reconnect after warning light still have the alarm, need to run out of power meter measuring optical fiber ends the sending power and receiving power of the plate; If send power normal end plate, and the receiving optical power is unusual then is fiber; If the plate shine power is very low, and can be judged to be plate problems
l Optical plate sending power after normal use the tail fiber to this end equipment of light mouth, from the ring; If the warning light board since the ring is still warning lights, then the problem is the light board, If the warning light goes out after the ring you need to use the same method to test for the end of the light board. If the light on the end plate from the ring alarm lights are off, you can determine the fiber is problematic
l When two devices are connected via a single fiber: First ends of the optical module is different, one end is 1310nm optical module, the other end is 1550nm optical module, also the transmission distance is different for example 20KM, 40KM, 60KM etc. When the two ends communicate with each other to ensure the end of the first identified as 1310nm, and the other end is identified as 1550nm, and secondly to ensure the same distance from both ends of the work identified in order to communicate
l First check the interface contacts are good and the network cable is connected to the Ethernet interface
l Check the cable: Check the pressure line RJ-45 meets the requirements of Ethernet cable, Check the cable line sequence is correct, Connected with the PC using a crossover cable, connected to the Ethernet switch using the straight-through
l Check the configuration on both sides of the PC is correct, whether in the same network segment, Correct preparation of both ends of the IP address, Working Group, Gateway etc.
l Check the cable is connected to the telephone service interface PHONE
l Check the configuration of the device itself telephone line and the telephone service used to qualify whether the correspondence
l Equipment and cables connected to a corresponding interface connector is wired correctly
l When determining equipment business wiring accurate, please check the device Bureau remote connection is normal, central office equipment connected switches, remote devices connected telephones
l Finally, check the phone can work
